The River Wild

I have been debating what to write my first review about for a week and I've finally decided. I didn't want to do my favorite movie or a popular movie that everyone already knows... so, I chose "The River Wild."

The movie came out in 1994 and was nominated for several Golden Globe Awards. It's about a woman, played by Meryl Streep (the queen herself), who is having relationship troubles with her husband, and decides to take her son white-water rafting for his birthday. But the trip soon goes awry when they encounter a group of men, led by Kevin Bacon, who are planning on completing the same dangerous journey. I don't want to spoil it, but let's just say that things don't go exactly as planned.

This movie is a great thriller and I'm surprised by how unknown it is. Meryl Streep is incredible and so is Kevin Bacon! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be on the edge of their seat for an hour and 52 minutes. Watch it!!!
